Crown Air Freshener Night Lamp 1980's Ambience Do you remember the Crown Air Fresheners that were incredibly popular for a few years during the 1980's? Well, this is one of those air fresheners. We bought the remaining stock and we've been having fun with them. They are very attractive crowns and useful for various craft and toy projects. (We did dispose of the air freshener units: they were no longer effective.) Here is our Green Crown Night Lamp. (One green lamp is included in this auction.) This is an unusual decoration or functional night light. These crowns make very attractive lamps! The colored part of the crown is translucent, so it glows when lit up. When you turn the cross on top of the crown, the colored liner turns: so you can adjust how bright the nightlamp is. And, open slots in the base create a halo affect around the lamp when it is turned on. The Crown top is easily removed from the base, if you need to change the bulb. This unit uses a standard 7 1/2 watt night light bulb, which is included. An eight foot cord with a line switch can reach most outlets. Our Crown Lamp measures 5 3/4 inches high and 4 inches in diameter.
| Crown Air Fresheners caused an interesting but unfounded controversy during the 80's, which is described at SNOPES.COM No, these crowns were never funded by the KKK, they are not a symbol of ethnic separatism, they don't represent any particular church or religious group, they are not an advertisement for drug dealers, and they are not a secret sign of membership in a cult. They were merely... Air Fresheners... and that's all they ever were. These crowns are an authentic bit of 80's ambience, right up there with frizzy perms, big shoulder pads, leg warmers, Cabbage Patch dolls, black TransAms, parachute pants, Strawberry Shortcake and PacMan. :)

~~~ We accept money order or PayPal for payment. (Absolutely NO CHECKS: our bank will not allow us to accept checks because there were too many customer checks that bounced.) ~~~ Shipping is by US Priority Mail or UPS Ground and ALL packages are insured. ~~~ We do accept international orders from Australia, New Zealand, UK, Europe and Japan but shipping costs are quite a bit higher and all packages MUST have insurance so the shipping is not cheap. Please inquire about shipping for international locations. ~~~ I have more than 2800 positive feedbacks on other auction sites, with a total positive ranking of 99.7%. |
